Simply taking a picture is only the start of getting the most out of your photography. You need to learn how to quickly and effectively edit your photographs to make them look their best! Using Adobe Lightroom, this workshop will teach you all the basic skills and know-how of editing in a fun and practical way.
The workshop will cover the all principles of the program from; importing and cataloguing your pictures help you to sort through them easily, as well as simple editing techniques such as contrast, blemish-removal, colour-control and lens corrections.
You’ll be assisted by an experienced tutor Julian Lumb who will help you in identifying common issues and equip you with the best remedies. By the end, you’ll be confident enough to know how edit and take creative control of your images!
This workshop requires no-prior understand of editing software and is suitable for everyone who wants to know how to take better control of their photography and image processing.

PhotoAccess has Mac laptops with Lightroom available for use if needed (please ensure you email us to book a laptop at the time of enrolment).
Enrolments for this workshop close at 5pm on Wednesday May 22nd, 2024. As a not-for-profit, our financial margins are narrow and classes require a minimum number of participants to run. In the event that PhotoAccess cancels a workshop, refunds will be paid in full or a transfer allowed free of charge. If a class is postponed, we will endeavour to reschedule at a time convenient to enrolled participants.
PhotoAccess will happily refund or transfer workshop fees up to 7 days prior to the start date of the workshop. If less than 7 days’ notice is given, PhotoAccess can offer a partial refund. Alternatively, enrolment can transfer to another workshop plus a $50 transfer fee. If less than 48 hours are given, no refunds or transfers can be given. Please note that memberships purchased in conjunction with a workshop enrolment are non-refundable. See Terms and Conditions for further details.
Julian Lumb has been involved in Photography and Photographic Retail in Canberra for over 17 years. Julian’s primary focus of Wedding and Real Estate Photo and Video grew from his start working at a local camera store in 2006. Here he learned a great deal about photography, camera equipment and photo printing, achieving an Advanced Diploma of Photography from Canberra Institute of Technology along the way. Realising he was missing out on the joy of relaying his knowledge of photography after leaving retail, Julian now enjoys taking up tutoring opportunities with PhotoAccess when he can.
