VIEW2022 showcases some of our region’s most exciting new photographers and photo-media artists. This event provides a snapshot of emerging practice in the ACT region, introducing a group of artists pushing the boundaries of photo-media and inviting us to understand afresh how creative practice engages us with contemporary issues.

This year VIEW2022 brings together works in analogue and digital photography, installation and moving image. Revealing the energy and spirit of south-eastern Australian contemporary photo-media, the featured artists explore themes including the interplay between media and the queer experience, our relationship to the natural world, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
