Orlando Luminere
Orlando Luminere is a professional photographer, photographic artist, and educator with extensive experience across both film and digital media. He runs a freelance advertising photography practice and holds nationally recognised photography and teaching qualifications, having delivered everything from short community courses to Certificate IV and Diploma programs.
His fascination with the camera obscura began during his teaching at CATC (a Billy Blue College) and has since become central to his creative work. Orlando’s practice explores themes of environment, consumerism, and personal narrative in the age of social media, often through his distinctive “trash cameras”, camera obscura made from discarded materials.
He has presented four solo exhibitions, participated in seven group shows, and received multiple competition awards and artist scholarships.
