Melita Dahl is a visual artist, currently pursuing a PhD at the School of Art and Design, Australian National University. Her work has been exhibited widely in major art museums, galleries and art fairs, in Australia and internationally, and is held in major Australian public art and private collections. Melita has worked collaboratively with artists from a range of disciplines to produce interdisciplinary works or theatrical performances. Her current focus is on commercial Facial Expression Recognition (FER) technologies and applications that attempt to detect human emotion or type.
