Guyliewzy is an artist collective formed by Ming Liew and Will Wang, two first-generation Chinese-Australians whose collaborative practice explores diasporic identity through movingimage art and experimental film. Drawing on their lived experience between China and Australia, Guyliewzy’s practice traverses the personal, social, and political—confronting questions of belonging, estrangement, and the contested architectures of identity.
Their debut project Halfway Seen Halfway Home (半窥半归) was exhibited at Run ArtistRun with support from the City of Melbourne Quick Response Arts Grant. It was also presented at ACMI Crew’s Night at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
