In this workshop, artists Michele Barker and Anna Munster invite you to explore Lake Burley Griffin – from below. Using underwater drones, the artists will guide participants through a hands-on experimental filming workshop that considers the technical aspects and creative potential of this still fledgling technology.

Saturday 28 February

Participants meet at the foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin for an hour of exploration and filming and then reconvene back at photo access where the footage will be included in a 1hr in-conversation panel/talk between the artists and members of ANU’s Computational Culture Lab on experimental drone and machine image capture (eg LIDAR, drones and AI imaging) by artists.

Note: There will not be time in the workshop to edit footage however, all participants will be able to take clips home
