Exhibition Opening: VIEW2026
Join us for the opening of VIEW2026.
photo access is the Canberra region’s established centre for photography in all its forms. We promote all modes of photographic creativity including analogue and digital processes.
Help us support the local photographic community in the free self-service facilities that we are able to offer to our members. We are in need of a technology upgrade in the desktop computers and scanners that we offer for free to use in our makers space. As more photographers have begun to employ a hybrid analogue and digital approach to their creative practice, we are looking to upgrade the scanning capabilities that we offer for free use. This will have a positive impact and empower the creative capabilities of both current and future generations of photographers. Our goal is to raise $8,000 which will provide a value for money investment in the quality of service that we are able to provide the region’s photographic community today and well into the future.
As a small not for profit arts organisation only half of our revenue comes from Government grants, the rest needs to be generated as own-source revenue. As such, we do not have the means to regularly upgrade our computers and hardware so we are looking for your help.
All revenue raised will be used to upgrade our members’ facilities with new desktop computers, additional scanning capabilities and Adobe software. If successful, we will be able to purchase 2x new iMac desktops, 2x new EPSON scanners (or equivalent) and Adobe software licensing.
