Join us at photo access to launch the Captured by Care pop-up exhibition, enjoy light refreshments and a nibble on Friday the 18th of October at 6 pm.
Over the course of 5 workshop sessions, guided by photo access tutor Eunie Kim, Inoeg Nugraha from Carers ACT and Wouter Van de Voorde from photo access, a group of culturally diverse carers learned the ropes of analog photography, from shooting 35mm cameras to hand-printing their images in the photo access darkroom.
Captured by Care aims to temporarily shift the focus from the cared-for to the carers. The works shown in the gallery are a culmination of the project and a celebration of this community of carers.
Captured by Care is presented in partnership with Carers ACT.

Eunie Kim
Eunie Kim is a Canberra-based emerging photographer exploring the construction of the self through the lens of cross cultural narratives.
Wouter Van de Voorde
Wouter Van de Voorde grew up in Belgium and has a double master’s degrees in painting and printmaking from the Ghent Fine Arts Academy. In 2008 Wouter moved to Australia, where he now lives in Canberra with his family. Wouter documents his personal life through a variety of film formats and stained silver prints. In the past two years he has published two well-received books with international publishers.
