Urban Wonderland: Capturing Winter Light | weekend workshop
Learn to harness Canberra’s famous winter light in this weekend workshop. Light is intrinsic to the medium of photography. Discovering the fundamentals of photographing using available light can transform your images, and allow you to make emotive and personal photographs.

In this workshop, participants will gain the skills to be able to ‘see’ the light in various conditions, and to translate it into their own photography. The workshop will give participants the ability to work with the light in many lighting conditions, without the need for flash photography.
The workshop will begin with a visual presentation of works made using available light, introducing participants to available light photography. Participants will then embark on two field trips to make their own photographs. A critique session and a Q&A will follow each field trip.
